Is it Love or Lust?

Title: The Phantom of the Opera
Author: Gaston Leroux
Pages: 104-144

As this story leads on it is actually a love story. As with Gothic literature this is not uncommon there usually is a love destined man/woman, in this case it is neither, it is a phantom. He is madly in love with a lovely, beautiful, young singer, Christine Daae. However, he is fearful that since he is a phantom he has but of no chance to obtain her love. And as we get older we may or may not have this same feeling as the phantom does, but if we do, what can we as mere humans do about it. There is no "cupid", and it leaves us no choice but to accept this fact that the one we love/like does not feel the same way as we do for them. Also, the phantom may be a gruesome figure, but there has to be good in everyone, somewhere, and at some point in time. So maybe the phantom can prove this to his distant lover, Christine Daae, if not who knows what disaster it could lead to for her and everyone around her. However, if this were you would you simply move on and accept defeat to the feeling of love or would you stay and fight for her/his attention?

If i was in this situation i think it would be foolish to just move on and accept the fact that i might not have a chance with this girl. Because true love exist between many different people, ugly people and cute people , and smart people and not so smart people. So i believe that if it is true love that physical features do not matter because it is whats on the inside that counts and plus, you will never know unless you try. So i say that it is important to seek out what you want beause in reality, which this world is so unforgiving to show with no regret, things are not just handed to you, you have to work for these things. So personally i would persue her, because at least i tried.

If I were faced with the choice of moving on with my life or fighting to win over the one you love, I would surely choose to keep on fighting for love because personally I think it's better to love and get hurt than not love at all. I think that if your confident you'll get anything you want because your not afarid to be yourself and a person can only fall in love with you if your true and genuine.
